Short term? Yes, they will hold a zero. Long term with serious use, no, they will not.
If your only goal is to punch paper, I guess it isn't an issue. ETA- There are plenty of free float 2 piece units that will work fine, but the non-FF versions are what I meant. |

 YHM 2 piece HG's with Aimpoint M2 w/ QRP+ spacer It held 0 fine for me. I just punched paper with it. |

Like Stickman said it will be fine for a range gun but if you are going to use it for more than that I would recommend either getting a gooseneck mount or even better switching out the A2 for an A3
