I was told by a gun buddy that someone is (maybe LaRue ) making ARs chambered in .30-06 and .50 bmg. He said it was in one od the past issues of shotgun news. Any information or pictures would be appreciated.

That is Cobb manufacturing....I do believe they are in the industry forum.

An interesting side note: the very first "AR" in the AR10/15 developement series was in 30-06 and used BAR mags.  VERY ugly gun....yet cool.
