Interesting! Looks like this 5th ID soldier has modded out his weapon for Iraq.

Looks like a YHM 4 rail free-float handguard, 4 rail gas block and flip-up front BUIS. Can't be sure, but the barrel could be Bushmaster's "Patrolman" 16" Gov't profile with M-203 cuts.

Yep, looks like a 16" to me. Not the first pic of a 16" I have seen from over there.

Damn! The pic I have on my comp is HUGE, 5.5 MB, 1500X1200 pixels, so you can see all the details. But when I uploaded it to photobuchet, it shrank it down, why I dunno...

Iraq and Afghanistan have both seen soliders with their own uppers dropped onto Uncle Sams lowers.
