Identify this carry handle

I have a chopped carry handle turned into a BUIS. The markings on the sight by the windage knob are B K. Can you identify it for me?

According to the information on Biggerhammer.net, BK is a marking for Bushmaster. I think the markings on the carry handle and the A2 upper would be the same.

IIRC, the biggerhammer marking apply to A2 carry handles, for the most part, and that was recent info in, say, 1993. FWIW.

i have a genuine colt m4gery upper...would it be stupid of me to chop up the carry handle for a fixed buis?

No. It is your carry handle and you may do with it, what you like.

Just get a second handle and chop IT. You can find handles for less than you might think; my Colt (probably) handle cost me less than $90 (keyhole forge mark and all). Plus, for chopping, you don't need to get a COLT per se, just a good quality handle. In other words, if it comes with a real A2 or A3 sight and seems to be well made, you have the makings of a decent chopped handle BUIS.

I'd just by an LMT BUIS. It would cost minimally more than another carry handle and all the work is already done.
