Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need Advice on Upper Purchase

Well I picked up a RRA lower yesterday and now need help deciding on an upper.   I am looking to get a RRA CAR A4 No-Ban 16" Chrome Lined, Flattop Upper, 1/9 twist  but not sure on handgaurd length.  I would like to get mid length handgaurds but there is a 6-8 week wait on those.   They do have carbine length uppers in stock.   What should I get?   Is the midlength worth the 8 week wait?   Here are pics of the uppers.
