I just snapped a new picture of my rifle and my main pack. Rifle details are RRA doublestamped lower, LMT M4 upper, Samson rail, and y'all should be able to figure out the rest. The pack is a Camelback Talon in Coyote Brown. The knife is a Glock G81 field knife. The woods are my back yard.

Picture one, photo is cropped only:

Picture two, same photo cropped and in black and white:

Picture three, same photo cropped and "cartoon" effect:

Picture four, same photo cropped and "coloring book" effect.

So which one do you guys like better? Feel free to critique my photo skills too (they're not nearly as good as my bow staff skills or hacking skills. lol.). I need practice with my pictures, I know. The effects are just from Kodak easyshare . All comments are welcome.

On the left  side of the receiver, it is stamped as usual, Rock River Arms, blah blah, LAR-15, serial number. The other side is stamped Alexander Arms LLC, US ARMY ARSENAL, VA, CAL. .21 Genghis (5.45x39). Here's a pic, but it's not that clear...

Given the options, I had to choose #1.

you could always use the color outs for the kids, when you need some time to yourself with your AR15.

number 1

but number 2 is cool but only if you had a M1 Garand and other WWII gear, the AR is too modern for B&W.

I like one, but chose three since it's different and looks pretty neat. Something about a cartoon AR just makes me laugh.

Photo 1 without doubt. It could be improved by better positioning and angle, better exposure and I'm guessing you didn't use a tripod? On the other hand, my photo's aren't very good either so who am I to say?

Never mind, already asked and answered

Picture three is my favorite too, but I didn't want to bias the poll.

turd- you are only asking for it every time we turn around so, here we go...

How'd you decide to coin your own phrase "doublestamped" ??

Bulgarian AK kits are $400 and are pretty nice 5.45 platforms.

Shivan- there is no need for one, he's already explained it

I'm not going to toot my own horn, but let's quit with the photoshop beauty pageants until you can actually do something neat with photoshop.  What you've done is something you can do with the $2 photo editing software that came with your camera.

Nice picture taking skills and equipment.  That is a veritable shopping list of what's new and hot in the tactical world!!

First picture definately.  I gotta say nice photo - it seems there are several good gun photographers on this site.  I wish I had half the skill with the camera you all have.

The rifle is not 5.45, it's 5.56. It was just a receiver that didn't look like every other one, so I picked it up. And thanks for the phot compliments. The camera is just a 1.3 mp Kodak and the effects are just what came with the Kodak software, it's nothing special. That's about the limit of my photoshop skills.

Sorry, I must have missed that "gem" of a revelation.

Thanks for the head's up though.  At least, I know he's just being silly and not neglecting a major component of the rifle on accident.
