Wow, those guns bring back memorys. I bought my 1st AR-15 in 1975 and used one
of those 20" guns with triangle handguards for a lot of years. Thanks for sharing! |

Stickman, This is the first time these 2 rifles have been together (today). I think you may be thinking of a post I made a few weeks back concerning the Colt Archive letter describing these SP1's.

I believe he posted a thread after Colt authenticated the engraving as being factory done. Very nice rifles. They should be a treasure for generations in your family. |

That engraving was done at the Colt factory 39 years ago. Engraving anything else on it now would be ludicrous. |
