Who's got'em?
I have a set of fake plastic ones, the inner shield attach points melted as did the forward part of the upper handguard. |

What did you have before? I kinda like single shield setups like cav arms. The double heat shielded ones are cooler, but thats cause they are keeping the heat in the barrel.

I went with these guys, and man, am I disapointed in their customer service.
I am still trying to find out if they have shipped out what I ordered and what the tracking number is if they did ship it. All I get is internet chin music from them.....

To the defenders of SAW and to those who think that I was an asshole right off the bat, you can go fuck yourselves hard.
I ordered the stuff from SAW, I also placed an order with Midaway, Bushmaster and DSA at the same time. Out of the four companies guess which one DIDN't give me any shipping information. I sent SAW 4 email and called 6 times during the two weeks I was waiting for an answer to my ORIGINAL question and received two responses: Pay special fucking attention to my email to SAW and see if I was acting like an asshole to start with: (special note for the fucktards, I called and was placed on hold for over 15 minutes.)
Hey, no problems there, although Bushmaster, Midway and DSA had already sent me order status and or delivery tracking numbers by then. I waited a couple of days, still no response to my original question. Another email was sent:
Hmmmmm.....Now I am being told that "pulled shortly" has now become "next Monday". My response to SAW. Asshat and fucktards please take notice AGAIN to see that I was not an asshole.
Now I start the waiting game all over AGAIN and give SAW the benefit of the doubt. I mean three out of four is good, right? By the end of following MONDAY (the day that Tina Elmore said my order would be shipped) I STILL had not received a shipping or tracking order number. I called and left an email, no response, I did the same for Tuesday and Wednesday, and again, no response. By Thursday I had received the stuff I ordered from Bushmaster, Midway and DSA. Imagine that. On Thursday I again left a phone message and an email and this is what I got:
Asshats and fucktards, please take note, I have waited for 9 fucking working days to get a fucking response to my ORIGINAL question and it STILL was not answered. Had SAW told me IN AN EMAIL that there would be 2 to 3 week delay in getting my order sent to me then I would have said "Thanks, but no thanks" and that would have been the end of it. Instead I got noting but internet chin music. Bla bla bla. If your idea of customer service is not getting an answer to your questions and getting your chain yanked then by all means, please, use SAW for their "excellent" customer service. Me? I'll spend my money with a vendor who wants me as a customer, who will answer my questions with no bullshit and who keep their word. |

As a consumer you have the right to take your business elsewhere. I've ordered so much from many companies and the shipping information is always provided quickly. Tina's reaction was very Seinfeld. She didn’t like your email so "No Colt Parts for you" Bizarre Denny and Bravo company have never treated me that way, or my friends, and we order from them fairly often. That's the reason they keep getting my business |

Really KA: Take a chill pill man! From what I understand Tina and Ken are the only "Official" Colt Parts distributor that I know of. So most of the time they do take 2 or 3 days to get back to u. They are really nice peops otherwise |
