What is a A4 uper? what makes it so different from a A3 also can someone post a pic thank you.

basically the same, it just refers to a flattop upper for civilians


but in mil iirc it is a difference

Its a confusion of names.  They're the same.  A3 is a civilian name for a flat top upper with detachable A2 style adjustable sights.  The M16A4 has the same flat top upper with detachable A2 style adjustable sights. The military M16A3 is a fixed carrying handle A2 but with full auto selector instead of the A2's burst fire. confused now
