just stake them yourself................ put a punch in there and.............. whack!!!!!

Brilliant!! Why didn't I think of that!  (just bustin' balls)I actually wanted to know if this was a normal occurance and if anybody knows for sure if they use threadlocker....or their reason behind not staking them..... |

I used red loctite on the carrier key screws on my Young NM carrier. No problems after a few thousand rounds. But, I do make it a habit to check it at every cleaning.
ETA: I would assume that if they are not staked, they would most definitely have used a threadlocker. |

Yours did, as do all of them that come from me, because I assemble them myself. I use a liitle Red Loctite to seal the key and then Red the screws. After that I stake 'em. They aren't coming loose  Denny |
