Go to Gunbroker and type in SP-1 and you should come across a few stripped slab-side uppers without the case deflector and bolt hold-open for around $70.00. Here's one for $69.00:

That is not what he is looking for and uppers don't have a "bolt hold-open" He is looking for something with a fwd assist and no brass deflector. |

GOTO CDNN investments and look at there surpluss m16a1 uppers. For the cost listed you get a stock set minus the pistol grip and a complete 1/12 a1 upper less the bc. these uppers have no case deflector, but have a fa. BTW there Colts.

I believe that fulton Armory sells A1 uppers like you mention.

None of the mentioned sites sell just an upper receiver with a FA and no deflector. I'm looking for one like these so I can built something similar. So I'd be looking for a m16a1 upper receiver.

You could try Del-Ton. I wanted the same type upper receiver for my CAR build a few months ago but they were out, maybe they're re-stocked now.
I went with an A1/C7 style upper from Bushmaster, even that stock I believe was running low.  |

The AR6450 upper isn't drilled for a gas tube. Which stange why they wouldn't, I guess because it's a blowback action.

I am trying to remember where I got that SP1 grip from for the original poster at the top of the thread... Got it off the EE.. It is a Colt for sure.. The guy I got it from sent me a pic of his inventory.. WOW!!!! Hes got Colt grips, fiberlite stocks, orig handguards.. All NIW!!!!!!! Its not Total Silence.. Damn.. Just cant remember.. If I do Ill post or maybe he will see this and chime in.. |
