Not sure if this is the right forum, but if it's wrong someone can move it to the right place.

I like to get into an accurate long-range .308 caliber on the AR platform.  I like the idea of the Bushmasters using the FAL mags (especially since I already have a ton of them), but the price seems to be quite a bit higher than the Armalites.  In addition, the Bushmasters don't appear to have the same variety of models and barrel options that the Armalites do.

Would I be better off just going with a standard Armalite model?  Will Armalite barrels work on Bushmaster guns?
