i read some good reviews

some others, well they HATED the damn thing
mentioned that the reciever/mag area was too damn flimsy cause of all of the polymer constructions
also said that not all ar-15 mags worked/.........

i think that i will stick w/ ARs, unless armalite re-redesigns the operating system to make it work w/ a 16in bbl; have a FH; chrome lined chamber and bbl; and more duribility

My mother said if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

That's all I have to say about that.

I liked it until I saw the sole optics mount. Some kind of proprietary FUBAR mounting point.  Other than that it seem ok, but that was enough for me to avoid it.

Based on people I've talked to,  it is a plinker at best... and an expensive one at that.

What's the retail on the AR-180B 650 or so. Heck even the Oly plinker is better that that and about the same price. I'd also build and AR before buying that!!!!!!

It is just as accurate as an ar-15 with a light barrel. Think SP-1.

Clean up is much faster than an AR-15.

I have had no malfunctions of any kind with my AR-180b. However, I have only put just over 100 rounds throught in the two years I have had it.

The AR-180b is a rifle to have in addition to some AR-15 types.

Get an AR-15 first then move on to other nice to have stuff.

Would an AR-180B be worth it for $450?

Clean_cut, stick with an Ar15...honest to God.  If the REAL Armalite was still around and still making the original Ar180 that would be different....BUT THE 180B AIN'T a real 180 and it NEVER will be....I have a REAL (Armalite production) 180 and it's a hell of a gun and I have compared it to the 180B and there is NO comparison.  It's like the difference between a Colt AR15 and an American Spirit Arms AR....there is no comparison, the Colt will always win and ASA will always suck; from now till God finally smites it from the face of the globe with a meteor.

I truly wish that Armalite made the real deal 180 because I'd love another one...but they don't...and they won't.
