Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - New Chrome carrier and use my bolt ok?

At Gun Stock there were a few folks that had chrome bolt carriers and I like the look of it when seen in person.

I assume it's fine to get a new carrier, but keep my factory bolt, right?

Gun is an Olympic CAR97-M4, and I would probably bastardize it  with a DPMS chromed carrier.

Just want to be as safe as I can when changing out important parts.
