Tell me about the Colt 6920 HB

I am interested in how much more this thing weighs than the regular 6920

Does it weigh as much as a Colt 6731 HBAR II?  I hope not.

Any markings than may set it apart?

This model is not listed anywhere on Colt's site.

Thanks

Markings that set it apart - yeah, the $1600 to $1700 price tag!

I imagine it weighs at least a pound more than a regular 6920. I don't have a scale to weigh mine, though.

I don't think there's any special markings on the rifle. The label on the end of the box is the same, execpt Colt just hand-wrote "HB" after the model number.

It's not on their site because I suspect it was such a limited/special run and they are all in private/dealer hands now.

Does anybody know what exactly the Colt LE6920 comes with brand new? And I have a question about barrel lengh. Is the BM with a 14.5in barrel and 1 1/2in phantom flash shorter than the Colt LE6920 with the 16in barrel? And is the barrel 16in with another 1/2in b/c of the A2 birdcage on the colt? Its a stupid question but it looks shorter when I look at the pictures hinking.gif

I don't know about the Bushmaster but my LE6920 has a longer barrel than my 16" on my KAC M4.

My LE6920 is 17.1" from rear of delta ring to the tip of the FH (FH is 1.75" and another <1/8" for crush washer)

Exactly the  same on another with LMT M4 upper

.....And 16.1" on Bushmaster 14.5" with AK Brake

Are the BM with Izzy flash suppressors good rifles? Do they come with the new M4 Hand gaurd? or the old style car ones?

According to SAW, twelve ounces more than the regular carbine. Put mine on a scale and looked about right.
