So I was at the range yesterday with a friend.  He was shooting one of my ARs.  I looked over and saw that the hammer pin had worked it's way out of one side of the receiver.

Short of buying the KNS pins, what's the cure?

legs of the trigger pin should set in the notchs on hammer pin.......

Thats Bass-Aackwards , the legs of the hammer spring lie on the trigger pin to hold it in.




Anyways, there is a spring inside the hammer (you can see it if you look in the hammer hole) that falls into the center ring of the hammer pin. when you tap the hammer pin in, do so lightly until you feel pressure holding it from exiting the other side of the lower to ensure the spring seats, thats it

Thanks.  I thought that was backwards.  Turns out the spring was never installed in the hammer...  Thank god for backups.
