I want to put a FF rail system on my Dissipator, and have narrowed my choices to the Larue and Daniel Defense.  Each has it's subtle advantages and disadvantages, but it looks like the determining factor will be if I want a 12" rail or a 9.5" rail on my Dissipator.

I measured from the front of the gas block on my Dissipator to the delta ring, and it was about 9.5", meaning the Daniel 9.5 rail *might* fit.

My question is will there be problems using a 9.5" rail on a Dissipator?  Or is it better to go with a 12" rail?

Also, is the dissipator barrel contour such that I could move a PRI flip-up sight rearwards to close the 'gap' between a 9.5" rail and the front sight?
