Every town has it's gun shop NOT to go to.  I made the mistake of going in mine today to try and find some DecalGrips for a Glock.  They were selling A2 f/h's for $24.95, M4 style stocks complete for $179.99, TAPCO crap stocks for $89.99 complete, Magpul rail covers for $29.99 a piece, and TD vert grips for $89.99.  What kind of crap is that?  Am I too cheap or are they as out of their damned minds as I thought?

With what I payed for my rifle and optics and rail and OTAL laser and all the other little things I could have bought one regular, no frills AR-15 at my local shop.

Let me guess.  Hmmm you went to high Hyatt's.  I work only 2 minutes from there.  I go there to check out stuff and buy somewhere else.  Also I asked the "lead" gunsmith about converting my bushy w/ ak brake to the preban version w/ bayo fsb and Phantom.  He said it was more trouble than worth to them and that "they" decided they weren't going to get involved with it.  They suck.

That's why I love the EE.  Some of the local gun stores here has outrageous prices for parts.

The shop I go to usually...Shooter's Supply in Fayetteville...is the best shop I've ever been in.  If it's within their power to do something to help you (no matter that it is a inconvinience to them) they will do it.  Transfers, short notice express orders,  custom work, etc.  But I didn't want to drive 30 min from Spring Lake for some damned overglorified sandpaper when there is a shop 1/2 a mile from the house.  It won't happen again.

I once had bought a S&W 4506 bran new and didn't like it so I went to a dealer and was going to buy a SIG 220 from him with a surefire light for $350.00 but the SOB wouldnt give but $150.00 for the gun I had, I couldn't believe it... I couldn't believe they had the SIG so cheap, they sold used (heavily used) Glocks for over $600.00 but wouldn't cut me a deal. I dont even bother anymore. I went to my local shop this weekend and they had Mossberg 500A's for $200.00 used, I got mine for that new... It just is not worth it.
