Every once in a while, you will see pics of contractors in the sandbox.  This got me wondering... how do they do things logistically.  Do they have to bring all the ammo they need when they come, or do they have it shipped, or is there some place to 'buy' them while they are there?   Also, not only in Iraq, but other places too, do they have to deal with weapons laws or what?

My dad is a contractor in Iraq right now...teaching Iraqi law enforcement (he's retired LE).  I'm not sure if the military pays for all of his equipment , or if the company he is working for picks up the tab.  Regardless, he doesn't pay for any of his equipment (body armor, m4, ammunition, etc)

Their rules of engagement are "less strict" than the military's as well.
