I usually say "Vee-Ell-Tee-Oh-Are".  Basically, I spell it out.  My wife says Vil-Tor.  What's the right way?

that makes some sense. for example, the roman word Maximvs is pronounced "Maximus". the 'v' has a 'u' pronunciation.

Your MA in Classical Studies ain't worth shit.

My Dad studied classics on his way to his M.Div., and as much as I hated hearing etymology around the dinner table growing up, it was damned helpful when the SAT came around.
