Does anyone out their use a .308 AR for hunting?  Carbine?  Scope setup?  What do you use?

The T has a Simmons Whitetail Expedition on top of a GG&G rail with Leupold medium QRW rings.

The A4 has an Aimpoint 5000 2X [1.5MOA dot] on top of an AR-10 model #38EX Swan Sleeve with Aimpoint rings.....with a GG&G front flip.

Absolutely -
AR-10(T) Carbine for deer, and feral pigs.
I use 2 different scopes for the application
Springfield 4-14X56 3 rd Gen for longer range
Leupold Vari X III 4-14 X40 for closer range
Even open sights for a brush gun and close up on pigs.

I purchased my AR10A4 because I wanted to whitetail hunt with it. I'll do so this November.

And most states limit you to 5-round magazines when hunting. :)

Haven't used a AR .308 for deer hunting.  However do have a few depolyments using the SR25.  Do hunt with the .308 in a H&R Mauser 98 copy with a Leupold VXII 2x7.   Also use my Springfield Armory SAR48 (FAL) bush rifle to take a whitetail doe at 300m.  ARMS mount, and Leupold M8 3x
