I've tried finding information about my topic but am having problems in part due to the search function being dinoed and google's lack of info but how well does the 6.8 fit into a 5.56? I've heard from a friend who's read publications that they fit fine but may or may not feed too well.

You say "but omega you asshat you live in Oregon you don't need to worry about it, just get 5.56 mags" and I just might if I can get a complete AR cheap enough, or possibly a kit really cheap and a lower cheap. However later this year I'll be moving to good ol' PRK (California for those not in the know) and will be acquring a FAB-10 for a CA legal AR-15.
