What the hell are the circular grooves for? And I mean for all falsh hider / muzzle reak units with all the circular grooves, are they functional for cooling or just for collecting more crap to clean out or WHAT?

Probably just for looks. It probably looked stupid with smooth sides so they textured it.

I am a screw-on, blind pin and welded over brake kind of guy now. I don't see any reason why the brake pictured here couldn't be threaded, blind pinned, and the pin welded over. Looks ready to go! |

Why not send it to KKF (Kurts Kustom, in the industry section), he can thread your barrel use a crush washer and then blind pin it for permanent installation all post ban legal.
