Colt MT6700, stock the way it should be. I bought my first one because it was always in the back of my mind, and though it may be crazy/not justifiable to spend a grand on a rifle. But I did, and theres no chance of having just 2 of them.... such a sick trend....

Mine was a Colt 6520 Gov't Carbine. It was brought to my town from another city, and the second time I got to see it at the gunshow - I let it go the first time. It was the first AR I had ever got to handle, and no one else I knew had one. I didn't let it go the second time. It had the 1:12 barrel. Later, I became an FFL and then a C3 dealer and purchased an M16. They were both stock for a long time until just a couple of years ago I started spending time on this board then all hell broke loose. I bought two more and built one, customized everything and went to credit card hell - ARF gave me the forbidden knowledge and MSTN showed me the way.

SP1. The AR-15/M-16 rifle has always been my rifle of choice and the gun "love of my life". I always loved the carbine and finally feel vindicated by the fact that the military is finally seeing, in the M4, what I knew since the middle 80s'. If they would have introduced those M4's 10 years earlier... Damn that would have been great!

Bushmaster 20" A2. Stock with only the addition of a SOG Armory muzzle break. ARs just plain rock...

OLY SGW Pre-ban 5 digit. Stock with 20" bbl.
Now.... Vindicator grip, DPMS flattop upper, M4 collapsible in green, Armalite M15A4(T)SS carbine barrel, Armalite FF fiber handguard, GG&G flip front site. IT is one among many and by far my favorite '15. My '10's still take the cake though. |

bushmaster 16in a2
i really liked it but gave it to my brother as a gift. giving it away was the event in my life that got me addicted in building them. i built an identical one after giving it to him. i still want it back to some extent because it was my first. |

Bushmaster 20" A2, I got it this past summer and couldn't be happier. I've only gotten to go shoot it 4 or 5 times, but it has lived up to my every expectation and then some.

2.)pre-ban parts built 16" Oly heavy bbl, colt A1 W/deflector upper,EA cast lower, stowaway grip, M-4 handgaurds, J&T 6-position collapsable butt, M16 bolt carrier. 3.) J&T 20" pre-ban H-bar kit built on DPMS forged lower, J&T M16 bolt carrier 4.) 1 piece at a time built Bushy pre-ban military contour 1/7 bbl on a bushy A2 upper, on a bushy lower, bushy M16 bolt carrier(all bushy parts down to the detent springs, I wanted it all bushy, just wanted to build it myself however) P.S., the "NEW" pre-bans that I built the last couple years are legal here, and yes, it's legal to have M16 carriers,hammers,etc. as long as the gun cannot be fired auto without being altered from the way you built it.(sear is a no-no)_______________________________________________ Legalize freedom! |

My first two ARs were a matched pair of Colt 6601 HBARs purchased new in 1991. I paid $1300 for the pair.
Back then I felt that the best "spare parts kit" was a second identical weapon. For that reason I always bought a pair of everything-identical ARs, identical Sigs, identical Benelli shotguns etc. |

RRA 20" Varminter, back in April. Still my only. Got a Simmons 44mag 6.5-20x scope with it that I still use. .25 moa capable. Love it very much. Not one malfunction in over 2k rounds.
Saving for a new scope and a magpul if the awb sunsets. |

Colt sp1 I bought it in 1986 for $550 they gave me a $300 trade in on my Mini14 for it. and what was really strange it still had tringle hanguards.

Colt SP1 in 1989. I still regret not buying one in 1988 instead of a Ruger Mini-14. That is when I learned that you never take your wife with you when you go shopping for guns. Damn salesman! "We have Stainless Steel Ruger Mini-14's on sale this week for $240." [banghead]

I bought a used SP1 Colt for $250 around the late 70s early 80s. I never shot it. I went the next day to a gun store that had a brand new SP1 with the Colt guard nickle finish and traded it even for the new gun. The dealer had had it and could not sell it because of the finish. He was happy to trade. I still have that gun today. It is my favorite AR.

M16A1, Plt 159, Parris Island, SC. I was in the second series to be issued the M16 in bootcamp, instead of the M14 in 1974. I didn't buy my own until 1993 and that was a preban Colt H-Bar.

SP-1 in Coltguard in 1984. Also got a set of round handguards, a collapsible stock, a bunch of mags, scopemount, etc.
They say I overpaid for it, 550 bucks. |
