I lost my wallet along with my drivers license, it's gonna take a little while to get a new one.   Until I get it in the mail, can I use my learners permit (all I have) to buy rifles?

thx guys, if anyone knows

Whenever I go to the DMV in my small town I didn't get out of there in less than an hour[:\]

I don't believe that the ability to operate a motor vehicle is a requirement for owning a firearm.

Therefore a passport or some othere state issued ID should work.  Although you may be required to satisfy a residency requirement which could be done with a rent or electric bill from 90 days ago.
