NEW YORK (CNN) -- A Roman Catholic priest arrested Tuesday for making harassing phone calls to another priest was arraigned Thursday.

The Rev. John Johnston, 64, pleaded not guilty.

When police searched Johnston's home after his arrest, they found $88,000 in cash, an unlicensed handgun, homosexual pornography and Nazi paraphernalia.

1.) Guy gets into an argument with friend and calls him a few choice words.
2.) Guy has a handgun, I'm not familiar with New York law, do you have to have a license to own a gun?
3.) Guy keeps a lot of cash in the house, Is having cash in your home against the law.
4.) Guy has gay porn.
5.) Guy has Nazi stuff!

Tell me again what laws have been broken.

Who hasn't called somebody a few choice words over the phone.  If the police came to my house and saw the number of guns I own, well...  lets just say it wouldn't look good on the nightly news.  I don't have $88K in cash, but I have a few hundred in my house.  Also got some playboy mags.  Oh and don't forget my Nazi Mauser.  I guess I better call the cops and turn my self in.

Yeah, the handgun thing is bigtime in the city. Need a licence just to purchace in NY state. And you have to show documentable proof of need for carry.No self-deffense.(we never had

So he did have illegal posession. BUT the big thing was the money. It was taken a little at a time from the collection plate. He called it his own 401(K).
The gay porn is legal, and too is the Nazi stuff.
 That's the problem here, the money and gun are newsworthy, but since the nazi stuff and gay porn are not illegeal, why is it in the news? It's just catchy and makes people read.
