Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - A2 rear sites

Just bought my first AR, a Bushmaster xm-15s 16" (can't wait to take it out for the first time this coming weekend) and have a newbie question about the A2 rear sites...

How do I switch between the 0-200 and 300-800 rear site appetures?  I thought it would change by moving the 8/3 adjustment wheel, but it never changes... what am I missing??

Push the aperture (sp?) and it will rock right over to the other aperture. And welcome to the wonderful world of AR-15's!

Doh! Well, thats just too damn easy!!  I did it lightly before and it didn't budge.  Guess it takes a little more thumbpower than I wanted to use on my shiny new rifle!!
