Looks like I'm going to have to get a RAS.  The batteries in my EOTech were getting low tonight and I had to replace them.  The way I have it mounted, as far forward as possible against the M4 hanguards, I couldn't get the old ones out without removing the sight.  Not very combat friendly and I like to leave my on alot, when traveling, etc, just in case.

Which version EOTech do you have?  I have a 552 Rev C mounted on my flattop, and it is as far forward on the receiver rail, and have no problems getting to the batteries (nor the handguards when I had them on).  Could you perhaps move it back a setting?

552-AA.  It's all the way against the M4 handguards.  To me it's still not far enough forward.  I could move it back until I get my preban M4 w/ RAS built, but I have no idea when I'm going to get that done.
