When I re-newed last year I got the five year plan, so I'm good till '07.

Member here.
For all those who are not--or are going to--did you guys know that membership can cost as little as $10 per year? I think it's called honorary membership. At $10 you don't get the benefits, just a card, but at least the NRA and the rest of us can count on you to add to the sheer weight of numbers---which is really what gives us respect and clout in D.C. Do it! [:)] Consider G.O.A. too. |
|
Sort of. I sent the check out last week, but I haven't heard back yet. GOA and JPFO, too.

Been a member for many years, life member, just not a life membership.

NRA and GOA. Am thinking about a life membership for my son and I but he is only 21 months old - might wait for him to get a bit older.
|
|
Yuppers. I think it's coming around time to renew it as well. I should just do the life member easy pay plan and be done with it....
|
|
Lifetime on the installment plan, buying one for my little brother too.

I've been an annual member since '89 (first gun bought in '96). I'll become a life member when the AWB sunsets.
|
|
Used to be a member, and I'm not trying to start any flame wars, but I didn't feel that they were doing anything back then. Now that the NRA is going against the AWB, I might consider signing up again. I signed up for GOA yesterday.

Quoted: I'm a member since '84. I recall paying $99, got a hat and a subscription plus a few other things. I thought that was supposed to be for a lifetime membership, but looking at the price compared to today I'm not sure. I moved when I got out of the service and forgot about the magazines, I never read them anyway but I wonder if someone is still getting them today. It was easier for me to join again at my new address so I do the three year plan now. WTF happened to the price of a LT membership?! Do you get an AR15 with that or what. Anyone else remember the $99 price? View Quote I paid $500 back in 1987-88 for a life membership. Upgraded to Golden Eagle in 1991. |

Yes, a member for 20 years. My father has been a member for about 45 years and has contributed quite a lot of cash over the years. As a newbie here I guess my opinion doesn't carry much weight but EVERYONE here should be a member. I know that they are far from perfect but what organization or company for that matter isn't. The FACT is that that is if it weren't for them that you would not be able to purchase a handgun in this country today if it were not for them. Many people here are too young to remember or too young to have even been around, but the Kennedys & Metzenbaums of the 70's would have you living in a socialist utopia where no private citizen could purchase or even own a handgun. The buzzword they used back then was "Saturday Night Special", just as today it's "assault weapons". An AR-15 without the NRA? Forget it. These clowns would send the stormtroopers to your door tonight if they had their way. The NRA & Limbaugh did more to turn around the '94 elections than the Republican Party, or anyone else for that matter. Thank God that they were here to defend our rights.

Well yes. I let my membership lapse for a while quite some time ago, then along came a boy from Arkansas who grew up to become President and I had to rejoin.

Been one for 5 years now. We have to stand together for our voice to be heard in DC.

Yes. You can't be a member at the range I shoot at without a NRA membership.

Not just yes, but HELL YES! Me, my wife, and both of our twin 2 year old daughters. I'd sign up the cat if I could.

I agree with you 100%!!! Any gun owner who isn't an NRA member is a freeloader riding on the backs of all of us who pay our dues, write our letters and faxes, make our phone calls. GOA and JFPO are great too, but the NRA is the only pro-gun organization with the PAC money to scare the hell out of the liberal politicians come election time. The NRA swings a big stick and they all know it. |

I will be in about two weeks...maybe life time member too. What moved me was how I heard Wayne Lapeire(SP?) went off on CNN about the AWB. I had always heard that the NRA only cared about duck hunters and such!

I renew every year at the NRA range in Fairfax, VA. After shooting today 6/1, I renewed my membership.
