I had a TA01NSN when we went to Haiti fall of 95', only had a few of the KAC suppressors on my mounted detachment in 99-00'. Stuff was pieced mealed to us. I never liked the Tijicon Relfex as stated the amber triangle was hard to see in bright light. Never used that flashlight in the beginning either. Took a year or two to get the RIS handguards. Attached File I remember 1/5th all got M68s by 99' also. Would depend on the battalion at the time. CD |

I can only go off what I remember the ODA 531 guys telling me since I was not in Grp when SOPMOD first hit. |

View Quote What is the model name/# of your Comp M2 mounts? My Google powers apparently suck… I am searching QRP, but coming up with all kinds of mounts (and many appear to be mislabeled). I have a Wilcox mount on my Mk18 Mod 0 clone, but I’d like to move my Comp M2 to one of my Block I M4s. While page 1 of this thread states that the Willcox mount is the proper Block I accessory (and is shown in the pic at the top of page1), I realize that’s mainly for NSW rifles and most of my M4 clones are USMC & ARMY configurations. I am guessing the mounts in your photos are probably more plentiful and much easier to find than my Wilcox mount, but I want to make sure I’m looking for the right thing. Thanks in advance. |

There is a detailed comparison of the 1st few versions of the Aimpoint QRP Mount in page 169 on this thread and also in page 166. As described in page 169, I think I have the Comp M2 Rev 2 QRP mount as I have the cutout on the top of the base. I've seen these mounts pop up from time to time in the Equipment Exchange but it might be hard to find somewhere else... |

I have only seen the Surefire IMPL on the Kimber ICQB, not the MEUSOC. I just happen to have an IMPL and a MEUSOC build. I was going to build an ICQB clone but now my gears are turning on adding it to my MEUSOC. Do you happen to have any other photos of a MEUSOC with the IMPL? ***ETA - Disregard, on second look I'm pretty sure that's a Kimber in the photo with pachymar grips. |

I never knew a Kimber .45 was issued to US SOCOM. Hell, I think I like mine even more now (I have a couple). I still carry my full size Classic Stainless pretty often. She’s hefty, but she’s been with me over 20 years and I shoot her better than any other pistol I have. |

That being said I don't recall ever reading that ARMS M68 mounts were prevalent for the M4, I always mainly saw Wilcox or QRP2 mounts mentioned. |

Congrats on the rail if you’ve been trying to get it a while. You’re planning to rattle your covers, but why not spray the whole rifle? Took me a while (a long while) before I got up the nerve to paint my first one, but I just finished my fourth last night and they all came out better than I’d expected. I’m not going to go crazy and rattle everything I have, but it sure does work well on some of the clones in my collection. Anyway, it’s your rifle and looks good as is, but I just thought I’d throw that out there. |

Anyone have that picture of Travis Haley prone with his Force Recon M4/M203? I think it was when he was in Africa.
I’ve got a standard Colt M4 and M203 laying around and that rifle has always been grail gun. Gonna start buying old parts here and there. |

The riser looks like the A.R.M.S. #38 Ex SWAN Sleeve but with a #40 rear sight instead of the current #40L. You could probably switch it out yourself. A.R.M.S. has the #38 in stock: http://armsmounts.com/shop/mounts/a-r-m-s-38-ex-swan-sleeve/
The Aimpoint mount is their #22M68 mount: http://armsmounts.com/shop/scope-rings/a-r-m-s-22m68-throw-lever-ring/ |

Anybody train, take classes with their clones? I think most here keep these in the safe. Pics?

I have done classes with my MK18 Mod 0. I haven't used my other clones yet because my local range had a fire with their air recycling system right before I finished them and they have not had any classes since. My MK18 is a lot of fun to use, I cannot wait until the NT4 clears
