We had not made any price increases for a few years, during the last boom, we actually stopped production on them to concentrate on fulfilling our AR orders. When production resumed, there were several component price increases that were incurred, as well as several changes made to the 1911 line that has caused the price to increase. We switched to the Wilson Combat Bullet Proof Hammer, Disconnector, and Sear, changed our coating from parkerized to Black Nitride, added a dehorn/carry package, among other tweaks.
The pistol we are producing is not a production piece, it is a custom pistol. Rather than compromise quality to keep a lower price point, we chose to produce a better product and adjust the price accordingly. Our goal is not to produce a large volume of pistols, but to produce one of the best quality pistols on the market.
Thanks,
Jesse
