Hello,
Are you planning on a new run of RPD receivers in the near future? Any plans on a new batch of built RPDs? Also, do you have an ETA on FAL uppers? One other thing- is there a way to check a serial to verify build date/factory configuration? I found an SA-5& on consignment and wanted to do a bit of research before making an offer. Thank you! |

Sorry for the delay, I was out of the office for a bit at a trade show.
Yes, we do plan on another run of RPD receivers. The tentative time frame is sometime towards the end of summer. We do not have any plans to continue to manufacture the complete RPD firearms as we have exhausted our supply of kits and only have a few distributor orders that will be filled at this point (Atlantic, AIM & RSR for dealers). I have Type 1 Carry Handle Cut Receivers in stock now, but they generally sell out pretty quickly. We are in a constant state of production for receivers and the rotate what we are manufacturing regularly so we have a pretty steady stream of receivers. Yes, if you have a serial number just give us a call or shoot us an email and we can provide you some information as to how that serial number left our factory. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Thanks, Mike DS Arms |

@mbf11
Can you please give us an estimate if/when you guys think you may do an RPD receiver run? I’ve been on the email list for about two years now, and I know I’m not the only one patiently waiting. Thanks! |

I feel for your sad lonely kit! I assure you we are working on another batch of receivers for this year. You guys will be able to get your kits built!!!
Thanks, Mike DS Arms |

Add me to “the” list...actually, I added myself to the (email) list.

I saw this happen with Tantal kits/receivers: kits available, no receivers. Receivers become available and then not available while kits are still out there.
Someone (like me) gets a great deal on a kit...then has to scavenge for a receiver. Had my kit assembled onto a standard AK receiver and...another batch of Tantal-correct receivers become available. I have a demilled RPD receiver but am holding out for a “real” one. Meanwhile, none of the RPD builders are taking on new work/still in business. |
|
At this time we have no plans to offer assembly services for RPD kits. We ran the RPD like a batch production assembly line and that unfortunately doesn’t really lend it self to doing individual kit builds.
Thanks, Mike DS Arms |

View Quote I have also been waiting for over a year on the notification list. Here's hoping to some RPD receivers becoming available sometime this year. My parts kit is getting mighty lonely as well! |

Just wanted to throw in a question about the type 1 FAL receivers with the Hebrew marking. Might there be any estimates on times for them? Please don't hit me, or I will ask for a manager. ;)

Put me down for a RPD receiver. I’m ready to purchase and will order as soon as possible.

For anyone watching this thread for Izzy uppers, they are in stock as of right now.

Still waiting for RPD receivers as well. Let's hope 2021 is the year!

RPD receivers are back in stock! Get them now while you can!
Now to find someone that can do the machining on my parts for the semi-auto conversion kit I have. |

View Quote I got the notification on the receivers, and bang! They are gone. I am hoping the do another run on these, as my kit is just sitting there. And a pair of STG58's, and a pair of L1A1's, and a G1... all on the wait list. |

Sorry, work has been nuts and I haven’t really been on here.
More RPD receivers are finishing up now. Within the next 3 - 4 weeks. Please sign back up for the notification. Please also make sure the back in stock emails aren’t going to your spam folders as these are auto generated emails. Forged Israeli Forged G1 Forged STG Is the current upcoming list of FAL receivers. R1 are in stock now and there are a few cancelled L1A1 that can be called to order. We should also have some more (small lot) of Israeli barrels soon if you missed out on the last batch. Thanks, Mike DS Arms |
|
Mike you are a hero!
Are you guys going to do some RPD barrels as well? |
|
@mbf11
No emails (including spam) for the recent rpd receiver run Can I call and prepay for one? Something? Pllllllease |
|
Sadly we don’t have a lead time for more barrels as were currently focusing are machines on FAL barrels.
We had about 40 “unable to notify” kick backs from the notification emails. With them being out of stock for as long as they were it may have been this issue. Thanks, Mike DS Arms |
|
@mbf11 are y'all still on track to have more RPD receivers in the next week or two?
|
|
Yes, the other half of the run is finishing up now so with heat treat and everything sometime within the next few weeks is still on track.
Thanks, Mike DS Arms |

Any idea when you might do another run on Australian l1a1 receivers?
|
|
@mbf11 I picked up a RPD receiver from the second run. Is there going to be another run of RPD receivers as I need one more?

Quoted: Quoted: @mbf11 I picked up a RPD receiver from the second run. Is there going to be another run of RPD receivers as I need one more? Yeah me too We are not running RPD in 2022 maybe late 2023 maybe. This is the official word no RPD production this year. Same for the M203 no production in 2022 and no production in 2023. FAL Receivers will remain in production in 2022 2023 2024 …… |
|
@DSArms_FAL any updates for FY23 on more RPD receivers and M203s?
Zero plans for 2023 sorry |
|
How about now? Any plans solidified for RPD receiver runs this year? I take it that all complete RPD production was stopped since at least 2021, no?
