Many of the US M4s served for a period of time in the desert, so purple is now a common color in US inventory. |

The H&R product line is making me excited about the AR again.
This combines PSA's ability to deliver a good product, relatively quickly, at reasonable cost with Mike's passion, industry contacts and nearly two decades of experience delivering what the enthusiast asked for. I pulled the trigger on a gray COTS lower and other gray bits to wrap around my new old stock Colt 723 barrel. I'm also looking forward to the gray C7 upper. Checking this thread regularly for updates. |

Almost two decades..............I feel old.
Harlan and I started NDS in July of 2005 in a 8'x10' office in Dan Coonan's shop. But I really started in the gun industry in 1986 when I enrolled in the gunsmithing program at SE Community College in Burlington Iowa. |

This may have been answered already, but is the H&R polymer carbine stock a rebranded M&A stock, or better, or worse? Tight or loose fit?

I read you had submitted the request to make them along with the 601 approval 2. Are plans for GAU-5 series lowers dead? I found a post from last may saying there were no plans 3. There's talk of C7s coming, we're you planning C7 marked leaf lowers or just upper assemblies? 1. Yes 2. No plans 3.No plans, but maybe Asking for an update. I scrolled through the multiple receiver options on the site, H&R has been able to release the following: M16A1 (Full-Fence) XM177E2 (FF) M16A2 Commando (Partial-Fence) M16A2 COTS XM16E1 (PF) GX-5857 (PF) Model 601 SMG MOD:635 I did notice you already sell a 604 "Air Force" Rifle built on the M16A1 lower. Is it safe to say that a "M16" receiver without the A1, either partrial fence or full fence will not be released? Based on my research there was never an actual roll marked "XM16", it was an administrative reference in Army documents to the earlier Air Force purchases just like the XM177 designation for the GAU-5/A Colt 610. And I think Colt only made M16 rifles for the Air Force in batches between 1964 and c.1974. Some Air Force veteran arfcommers have mentioned Type E stocks were seldom encountered. Here's a photo of Posthumous Medal of Honor recipient William H. Pitsenbarger with an early M16 https://images05.military.com/sites/default/files/styles/full/public/media/history/vietnam-war/2017/02/william-pitsenbarger-1500x1000.jpg |

really liked the look of the DOE 9mm AR-15s
There was a VERY hot security guard at Windsor Falls NPTU when I was there. When they did the drills she carried one and I've always wanted one. Will they be through H&R as well? |

Mike, may want to have your guys picking parts check the selectors before they throw them in the bags. I ordered a grey A1 LPK and the selector that it came with has a tic mark and long lever.

What’s with the seeming price jump on the XM16E1 uppers? Is there a difference I’m not seeing, or is $860 the new rate?

An H&R lower likely won’t match perfectly, but it should be close. FYI, moly resin is semitransparent, so even if you paint both the upper and lower they won’t match because the lower has a darker base than the upper. You might be able to send both the upper and lower to someone that does Cerakote and have them try to paint the lower to match. This is probably the best option IMO. I can’t remember if he has an FFL or not, but @OG1 does great work. |

Mike, I ordered a gray M16A1 lower 2/3/24. ORDER # 12116211030 The order went fine. It shipped to my local PSA just fine. I printed out my paperwork and went to my local PSA tonight to pick it up. All the paperwork looked great, the box was labeled right. When I opened the box to inspect it, it had the wrong lower in the box. The serial number matched the one in the box but model number did not. It was a M16A2.
The PSA guy said he never seen this happen before. He said the only thing he knew to do was to go back home, cancel my order, and start all over again. Is there any way you can look to see what happened before I do this? It took me checking 4 times a day forever just to catch this one in stock. I really hope mine is still sitting there and just didn't get put in its right box. Any guidance on this one? Thanks, Shane |

Duracoat was very easy to apply to a complete rifle, but I dunno how close you can match colors. I was aiming for baby blue & got it.

And Mike is already getting tons of grief about colors not matching, probably half the posts. https://www.cerakote.com/shop/cerakote-coating?color=cera_grey&finishes=cera_h_series |
