In the past, I've noticed various models disappearing from the line-up while refreshing, then at 4PM some come in stock. It doesn't seem to do it on days that they don't stock any. It's sort of like a premonition.

I'll keep an eye out for that "indicator." I'm curious if any of the models have been restocked this week. I haven't checked very regularly, but it doesn't seem like there have been many posts here or on FB in the last couple weeks about people successfully ordering.

When I was after one, it seemed like they were restocked at least two days a week. I've seen them on Tuesday and Friday, but that doesn't mean it's always the same days of the week.

View Quote this happened the day I was able to order mine. 1-3 minutes before they went in stock and I was refreshing about every 5 seconds and several of the models would dissapear then reappear. There really has not been very much activity in the FB group this week from anyone. They could be in the process of building a batch this week to hit the site one day next week. ETA: The week I got mine there was a drop on Monday and I got my order in on a Wednesday. |

I think I'm going to try for a Redwood folder.
Haven't seen anything go in stock lately, I must be off on the timing of when they usually drop. |

They're still showing up between about 4:05 PM and 4:10 PM Eastern and are only lasting for about 10 minutes, some models even less. I believe last week, plum polymer folders showed up on Monday, then black folders, classic stock plum and black, and the new rail version on Tuesday. I don't think any more appeared the rest of the week. They seem to be release only 2 or 3 versions at a time, and they go quick. This past Monday, as an example, the black and plum polymer folders came back in stock at about 4:03, and I think someone on the FB group said the plums were sold out by 4:08. Black lasted maybe another 5 minutes. What M4Madness described here definitely works - I saw this on Monday with the black and plum folders. They both disappeared and reappeared a few times on the 74 page starting at about 4 PM, then popped back up as in stock at 4:03: Quoted: In the past, I've noticed various models disappearing from the line-up while refreshing, then at 4PM some come in stock. I got my plum s/f last Monday. Nothing showed in stock after 3:00, 3:05 nothing. I randomly refreshed after 3:30 and it showed in stock. Here's a feet pic.

Quoted: Are you guys getting in stock notifications? I am signed up for every model 74 and AK V. Or, are y’all sitting on the site refreshing all day? View Quote I haven’t heard of anyone receiving a back in stock notification for a 74. I think they may have disabled it because they know that by the time people see the notification and go to the website, they’ll be sold out, so people will start questioning the notification process. I know I’ve had that happen on another vendor’s site and have started to wonder if that one is reporting accurately. Everyone I’ve heard of who’s bought one is sitting there refreshing the website in the afternoon, hoping to catch them when the inventory updates. |

One of the guys from PSA reported on fb that the notification works if the item is in stock or more than an hour.

Yeah, a back-in-stock notification for these wouldn't yield results, even if it were sent out the moment they were listed on the site. By the time the system went through the hundreds/thousands of email recipients, they'd be out of stock again.

What's the good word on the AK-105? Are you guys gonna be selling them as pistols or will you offer a complete SBR package? |

I'm guessing this means a 105 is in the works?

Just watched the Garand Thumb review of the 74. The wear on the bolt and trunnion have me concerned.
I will have to check mine (only has about 500rds on it), but I am close to having my form 1 back but now I am debating even doing it. Not sure if PSA would warranty those issues after I chop the barrel. What's the word on the wear? Anyone have higher round counts (ie over 1k)? Seeing weird wear? |

I would not be concerned. This is not an issue. What you are seeing is a sharp corner on the front trunnion lug. The trunnion has a sharp corner from being a brand new machined part. As the gun wears in, it polishes this sharp edge down. All of our AK front trunnions will have this normal wear.
When you start shooting the rifle this process of normal wearing starts. This is the normal marrying of parts. It will stop once the trunnion and bolt have reach equilibrium. This is a normal part of the wearing in process. This is a well documented process with our own AK’s, with customer AK’s and with reviewers AK’s. They all go on to live very long service lives. Gun ranges, our engineering team, as well as our competition teams have run our PSAK’s on a variation of full and semi-auto for 20K plus rounds at this point. Please note.. We are waiting to receive Garand Thumb's specific gun back to do further analysis on it. Thank you, Josiah |

View Quote I actually thought about you and your project when watching the review. I dont have that high of a round count on my 74 either, right now its just to the point where the finish is wearing off but the pics did have me wondering as well. but honestly you are this far into it might as well finish it. I could understand how some parts would have to wear in and a "sharp" edge end up being rounded. Maybe that explains the ultra tight headspace on it from the factory? I would love to see some of the PSA test guns that have 20k rounds through them to see how things would end up. |

Would cutting my barrel on my 74 void the lifetime warranty? Obviously I wouldn't expect the barrel to be covered, but if for some reason the trunnion wear does become an issue, would I be covered? I don't think this will influence my decision to SBR it, but I would like to know going into it. Nevermind. I do see that modification will void it. |
