I'm sure that's probably how it will turn out. Take it from someone who is in journalism... they think they're getting the story, but it they'll find a way to twist it... maybe not even on purpose...
I used to be in journalism (radio for 5+ years including morning news at one station, afternoon news at another, and a brief stint managing a news/talk station,) and watched carefully what he wrote on the notepad. My answers were short and concise, limited to his questions about people shooting less as ammo prices increase. No pictures were taken of my guns, no discussion of number of guns - only caliber and ammo availability. You forget that Idaho is still quite gun-friendly, and pro-gun stories appear frequently in the papers.
Q: How frequently do you shoot?
A: It is variable, but currently around once a month or a bit less.
Q: Has ammo price affected how frequently you shoot?
A: It has certainly become more expensive, but I find that availability is now the limiting factor. Even when I can afford to shoot, most of the common calibers are not to be found in local stores.
Q: How long has this been going on?
A: Ammunition has been progressively more difficult to find for quite some time, maybe 8-10 months.
Q: What calibers are you shooting today?
A: .223 and .45ACP
