I ordered a barrel a few months ago. It was a 16 inch 1/7 M4 profile. I had a local gunsmith install it on my Colt.
I used to shoot a lot of Wolf ammo when I had the Colt barrel and it worked well. I have been firing Wolf ammo in the CMMG barrel and have been getting a few jams. In each one, the case sticks in the chamber. When I get it out, I notice that the case mouth is burred slightly almost as if the chamber is too short. So far, I've only had one brass case stick in the chamber and it was a handload.
Any ideas? Is it possible that it's an out of spec barrel?
I am going to have someone who has military gauges check the barrel next weekend and see if it's possible if it could be out of spec slightly.
Any comments?
Otherwise, the mil spec ammo that I've shot has fired without problems. I just want it to be able to shoot Wolf because if it can shoot Wolf ammo, then it will certainly shoot anything else. I probably will stop shooting Wolf after I use up the rest of this case.
