Paul,
By any chance, do you think you could weigh a set of Mid-length handguards with delta ring assembly, barrel nut, and handguard cap? I'm trying to compare it to a DD 10.0 Lite Rail, which you said was 11.2 oz. If not, I understand completely. Either way, thanks for your measurements; they've been really helpful!!! Best Regards, Justin |

Thanks Paul! I appreciate it. I just have one more question (sorry): how is it lighter than a Colt carbine-length handguard? Do the RRA mid-length handguards lack heat shields? Thanks again Paul. Regards, Justin EDIT: spelling. |

That is a excellent question.
The original USGI (Colt) M4 handguards will be heavier than most commercial units for 2 primary reasons. USGI is a thicker mold, and USGI has two heat shields instead of a single. The RRA Middy HG has a single heat sheild, just like most other commercial handguards. |

Thank you for clearing that up Paul. Last question: do your BCM mid-length uppers come with the RRA handguards?
Thank you. Justin |

Hi Justin,
BCM upper receiver groups do not include handguards. Thanks! |

Looking to do a middy build. Was wondering the weight difference between your standard 16" middy barrel and the CHF 16" barrel and the 410SS 16" barrel. Not sure if the standard and CHF barrels weight the same. Will be using Adams Arms Middy piston kit and BCM upper reciever. Thanks.
