Thank you for the photos. Looks like some of the people participating in the class were running M&P pistols.

2 questions what muzzle device are you using on your rifle? And how was the class and Pat Rogers in particular? I had one run in with him on lightfighter and he seemed like a real jackass.
|

I'm using the PWS SM556 muzzle brake.
Pat is a good guy, great instructor, and we always have a great group of shooters in his classes. This is the 4th year in a row that I've hosted a EAG Tactical Carbine Course. Consider that what is acceptable behavior at one board, may not be acceptable behavior at another board. How someone comes across on the internet does not always translate as to how the person is in real life. |

I've seen that rig on M4C...sweet setup. Kino just like yours with a lite rail cut down. probably inspiration for my SBR build. nice pics jeff, thanx for sharing. |

Long story short I joined and posted my introduction just like I was told and wanted to let everyone know about a class that we were hosting. He sent me a pm about being a contributing member on the site before advertising and deleted my post. Since I had just joined how am I supposed to be any more of a contributing member. I think he was just mad someone may be trying to take food off his table. Anyways it was a very nice welcome to their forum that I won't be using anymore. |

Great pics and an even better time I'm sure. Thanks Jeff. Bummed I missed this one. Jimmy was reppin' Magpul!

12.5" kino ... pics are on Bravo Company's website.
Carbine gas system with a mid-length handguard over the low profile gas block. Kind of like the Bushmaster Dissipator .... only shorter. Hope this helps. |

is CO the training mecha of the US?
It seems you get alot of training in EDIT: Also looks like your new harness setup fits great. Its next on my list to get especially after seeing the ranger green picutures |

Very ignorant and childish of you. |

@Kag,
Are you really that much of an a$$?! Carol is one hell of a shooter. She has the skill and more importantly the mindset to ensure she wins the fight. I would put my money on her against you on any day of the week and twice on Sunday. |

Regarding the Granny comment, I thought it was surreal seeing and older lady shooting. I honestly don't think it was said as an insult, just from the humor standpoint. I'm happy to see her shooting, and I wish my wife would do this stuff.
Flame me if you will. I certainly respect her skill set and she is doing something I wish I had the funds to do. But I gotta say, the first thought in my mind was, "I wonder who's granny that is". I'm really impressed with her personally. ETA: great pictures! Pat was recently in our area and I didn't find out until too late that the class was making. Someday. |

I have not taken many classes, but out of the few I have been to I will say that Pat Rogers is a solid instructor. He has a wealth of knowledge and runs an efficient class. If a student is focused, Pat and Mike are ready to help them improve. They also make the whole experience an enjoyable time. I hope I have the chance to attend another course.

LOL, dumbass, I wasn't the original poster of that statement. This is my first post on this. You have no idea what kinda class I have. And your arrogant observation is BS.

I must have had my retard-glasses on. Excuse my error if you can. Kag's comments were uncalled for and I was seeing red after I read his post. |

I understand, I get pissed about stuff as well. I only commented about the surreal nature of the pictures. Like I said, I think it is fantastic that she is shooting. Hell people have made fun of me for having a large body and a small head. Don't mean I'm not capable. I can't help having large shoulders dang it.

Could someone post the specs on the Navy Qual course, please?
I'd like to give it a try. Awesome pix, btw. |

All I will say is it must be nice to be filthy rich and afford all that stuff. I get excited when I have a few bucks leftover on payday to grab a couple boxes of ammo at Wal Mart. I couldn't imagine what it must be like to be able to do stuff like that all the time.

Loved that there was an older female in with the group. Looks like fun.
How was the class? |

Did you dress up with all that gear those guys are wearing or did you just stick to a KISS setup? I would think the gear probably cost as much as the class itself. |

If you've got a rifle and mags, then it's pretty cheap gear wise - heck you can make your own gear for a few buck with Kydex and some patience..

After trying several different combonations, I found that the closer you could get the Magnifier to the Aimpoint the better the sight picture looked. I tried mounting the LaRue T1 mount so that the throw lever was on the left side of the gun to see if I could get the magnifier closer. It worked. I posted this info (getting the magnifier as close as possible to the Aimpoint, as it helped reduce the "figure 8" dot that several people were complaining about) several places on line. I was the person who started recommending mounting the LaRue T1 mount backwards to get the magnifier closer to the Aimpoint. Funny how things come full circle sometimes. I purchased several T1's that were already mounted and had loc-tite applied. I didn't want to have to re-mount the optics, so I played with the T1 and 3x magnifier and came up with a solution that I wrote about above. It's just another option to use. Both techniques work well. Take care and be safe |
