There are multiple clone threads in the AR-15 forum for retro M16s’, M4/M4A1, M4 Block II, Mk18, and Mk12. I think it’s time the precision rifle sub-forum gets its own clone thread. My list is non comprehensive. I’m not an expert and have not gotten to finger every gun out there. So if there is anything that needs to be addressed, fixed, or added, let me know.

If there is a rifle I am missing (which I know I am), PM me the rifle and any info you have about it and I will add it to the list.

Let the editing begin

I recently got a call from my FFL saying that a few of my silencer tax stamps had arrived and I could pick them up. When I got to the FFL, they had a box of silencers and stamps waiting for me. 10 silencers/stamps came home with me that day! Only a few cans for the bolt action rifles, I'll post the other ones in other threads.

Mk13 Mod 7's, top is SOCOM, bottom is USMC:

The Remington CSR with suppressor is probably the best looking precision rifle ever.

    Ever.

The Mod 7s are awesome too.

These A1's were regional assetz in Fallujah, so they didn't stay with the rotating unit. As long as they shot well and were still functional, there was no reason to pull them from a combat zone just to be upgraded. One of our team leaders was an older 8541 and chose to carry an A1 on that deployment instead of an A3 or XM3. I wish I had some photos or it's serial number.

PWS still has a handful of A1's they bring out to the vintage sniper match every year. This is more for historical purposes than anything else, but there's still a few A1's in use right now.

    Dude me too.

I'm waiting on an action from Stiller - they're backordered like 20 weeks at this point for mine.

Going to be such a sweet rifle though when it's finished.

Mk13 Mod 5s were turned in 2014 from Afghanistan from SF and replaced by the M2010.

Curious as to why this Leupold MK4 surplus scope has the original serial number electro-pencilled over and a new serial number engraved on it? Likewise, why does this Ultra M3A have a new serial number electro-pencilled on it? @Combat_Diver

Ah you just missed an M2010 package this morning! I was so close to jumping on it. Haven't really seen anything else since the short action M40A6 chassis that EO had.

Do we know if the M24SWS was ever deployed with .300 win barrels before they moved to the 2010? I did some digging(albeit light) but didn't find anything. Seems like they all had .308 chambering and never bumped up. Afghanistan seems like you'd want make the jump, but understand that's not how procurement really works.

I remember only two M24's getting rebarreled to .300 WM back in the 90s in 5th.  Later we had the Mk13s but those Rem 700 receivers were not rebarreled M24s IIRC.

It may have been numbered to the gun it was issued with by the armorer.

Chris at Red Bull Armory came through today. Super pleased with how my Mod 5 turned out!

Perfect fitment/alignment of the MK11 Suppressor. Even more impressive when you consider that he didn't have my can in-hand when profiling the barrel

Just need a Dewey rod for the deployment kit

Yeah, but they wouldn't wipe out the scope's s/n, it would just be added next to it. The s/n from Leupold is how it enters the supply system and gets tracked. Though there is the possibility that the armorer is a 'tard and oblit'd the s/n not knowing any better.

Saw this video on Force Recon on you tube. First 10 min or so has some M110 action.

Also noticed that one was using a Nightforce NX8 2.5-20X

Perfect fitment/alignment of the MK11 Suppressor. Even more impressive when you consider that he didn't have my can in-hand when profiling the barrel

Mod 5's are peak aesthetic but man are they fat pigs. Probably makes the .300 win a bit tamer on the shoulder though.

Gentlemen, thank you again for your generosity and for participating in the SSA's 2022 rifle raffle! This year's turnout was excellent and we truly appreciate it!

The drawing for the M70 is going to be held live on the SSA's Facebook page at 3:17 EST, so it's coming up within the next hour. They have a public Facebook account, so you don't need an account to view the drawing on their Facebook page. Here's a link to the SSA's page if you to watch the drawing:

I've spoken to them numerous times about making more SSs and SVs - they said they'd have to re-tool to do it and it would only make financial sense if they received a large order - like the type of contracts they'd get for law enforcement or military.

This is why I've told people to bug Surefire about it - demand is the only way we will ever see them again. Unfortunately, cloners and collectors like us who want these cans probably don't make up enough of a demand, which of course, I totally get.

It still sucks though because I want one!

That is nuts! I've got one just sitting in my safe that I haven't used in 3 years that I'd let go for half of that.

Looks like I might cash in on GB too at those prices.......

My M40A5 build is about complete.  Just picked it up Saturday from the 'smith.  I was planning on picking up an S&B scope in a few months of saving my pennies and then a suppressor down the road but at these crazy prices I don't think it will happen.

ps.....I really really need a 34mm simrad cap too in case some one has an extra.

Does anyone have a Mk13 Mod 5 chassis that didn't come with IMUNS, but want one? I need the standard front block and of course they can't be found.

Switched out the Nav-Spec for a PSR scope, so NOW I can officially call this project done.
