Kinda funny when I hear people say that getting into the .50 for long range shooting is expensive. Actually, its probably cheaper or the cheapest way to go, even if you reload.
Then there's also the "there's better options" for it and then compare their round to a standard .50 ball round.
There's plenty of match grade projos on the market for .50's and while I haven't followed the. 50 matches through the FCSA in a long time, the last record I saw for 1000 yards was under 2". Pretty sure that's more than accurate enough for the novice. 50 Shooter or someone that just wants to plunk with it.
The AR-50 is the AR-15 of the .50 world! It's a good .50 to buy, modify and step up from if you want to go to bench rest, some just modify them into their BR rifle. If you're interested in that sort of thing, check out the FCSA's website.
