How do we find someone to ship the powder or primers we sell or trade when a FTF sale is not possible?

You are your own hazmat shipper. You just need to label the package correctly and pay the hazmat fee.

WRONG ANSWER on so many levels.

UPS Haz Mat Information

You have to have Haz Mat shipping contract with the shipper ie FEDEX or UPS.
You have to have 24 HR Haz Mat resource contract.
Proper cert of people
Proper paperwork
Proper packaging material.

Plus people with the proper connections might not want to take on a  "One Of".

The OP you are probably SOL.  Check with your local guns store that handles powder and primers.  There might be a supplier in the area that will take on the shipping.

Not sure when that came into play. Last Hazmat I shipped was a couple years ago and I walked into the UPS hub with properly marked boxes and they never blinked an eye. My bad.

Lucky for you, you did not get caught. I see GB sellers listing USPS Priority as their shipping for their primers and powders...

I was shipping ammo. So I am probably completely off base. Live and learn.

Some lower level shipments (like ORM-D) used to be very relaxed.
I have not checked lately, but would be surprised if UPS has not tightened up.

You also have to watch out for "UPS Store."
Those are NOT UPS owned facilities.
They are franchises.
UPS does NOT allow them to ship firearms, and probably not a lot of other hazmat.

UPS has had firearms and HAZMAT restrictions at the "UPS Stores" for a long time.

Easiest way for UPS is to pay the extra for a driver pick up.

I am a "hazmat guy".  There is not a "license" requirement; but there are extensive training requirements.
I think I should sit my butt down and write a guide for shipping Class 1 shooting components in various modes.
Ammo is very different from the components.
I will sit down and work through some of these issues and see how it could work.
Perhaps Arfcom would want to put on some training webinars for hazmat shipping.
