Title says it.
I usually use a Beretta 391 or a CZ 712, though that's simply because that's what I have available. I considered getting a Browning BPS Upland Special 22", but I'm not sure that I really want to go back to using a pump again. I'm bad enough with a shotgun as it is, I don't need any more complications thrown in.

Mossberg M-500 20ga. w/ 22" bbl. Imp. cyl. #8 or 7 1/2 shot. preferably #8.
Better question is what part of PA are you in? If you're in N.E. part of the state I know a few good places to hunt. |

Opposite end of the state actually, north of Pittsburgh. I have a couple places to hunt grouse. I've only been hunting for I guess about 17 years now, but I don't see the grouse numbers up there like I used to. A good day would be seeing 3-5 grouse all day. I've gone many days without seeing a thing. |

First is my A-5 Sweet 16 then it would be my A-5 Light 20 and last it would be my A-5 Light 12. Every now and again I will take my Franchi 48 AL 28ga. I know it would be hard for me to go back to a pump. The only pump gun I use anymore is my 870 deer gun.

Model 37 Ithaca. Light and easy to carry mile after mile of walking the old strip mines at home. Five shots, no worries about rain/sleet/snow getting into the action, dependable - of the 4 in use in my family beginning in 1953, none have ever broken.

For ruffed in the mountains of NC and VA I use my Browning Citori Lightning Feather in 20 ga.
Gun weighs about 5.5 pounds loaded. Nice and short I use 6 or 7.5 shot, 2 3/4. |

Brand doesn't matter. Like quail hunting you want it to be reasonably light since you are going to be humping it a ways.
