Looking for any comprehensive books on trapping for a complete beginner. Looking mainly for food sources not fur. Thanks in advance!

Join your state trapping association and link up with another trapper for hands on.  I've read several trapping books but nothing beats getting your hands dirty.  It's one thing to know how to set a trap but it's another to learn habit, animal traits and then being on location - knowing what looks like a good spot to set a trap.

I got into trapping 4 years ago or so learning on my own.  The first year was a struggle but as I went it got easier and easier to just "see" the spot/set.  I can pull up to a stream and just know where to set based on what I see.
