Went out a few times last year with no luck... This year, first hour of opening day..
Taken with a Mossberg 100 ATR in .308 using Winchester Super X 150gr. My dad gave me the rifle last year for Christmas.. he was pretty proud of me today. Had a doe walk out ~ 6:15... waiting another 15 min after she passed and her this 7pt buck comes behind her.. Pretty excited for my first take. Never grew up around hunters or even guns for that matter.. Getting this guy mounted for the man cave.. |

Thanks everyone. Ill post a pick when I get him back from the taxidermist.
My dad is starting to get into woodworking, and is going to make the plaque for me. Taxidermist said it should be spring before I get him back, he is retired and does this for fun, but all I hear is good things about his work. I'm in no big hurry. |
