is it possible to use the GI 2 piece mess kit as an oven?  

Just looking at it and began to wonder if i could cook a pizza in it using an open flame :P

The general consensus is to bury it in coals or just pile them on the lid.
Aluminum might not stand up to this, even SS might warp.
