I'm looking to buy a few metal or plastic 55 gal drums! I have tried my local Pepsi company but they never write me back and when I call they place me on hold for hours.

I just go to our local Pepsi plant and pick them up.  They always have plenty there.  They also have some nice 15 gallon ones.

55 gal for $5.00
15 gal for $1.50

post in your hometown forum. More than likely someone local will be able to help you out. Also, try craigslist.

Are you from southern IL? If so I tried to go to the one in Marion and they would not sell me any.

Also anyone know where can you get the metal ones? I'd like to have one or two of them around for burning and maybe to make a stove.

Yes....Marion is the one I go to.  Did you go to the shipping and receiving area?

I have been 3 times in the last 2 months and have had no problems getting any.

IM me if you need more info.

my company has a shit ton of them that we end up smashing with a excavator and then haul off to the metal rec. rolloff by the skidsteer load. if you were in neb. I could supply you with a steady stream of them for a life time and I'm not even joking.

I actually seen 2 pallets of them at our local Chinamart last night, along with 9 pallets of the big ass bags of wheat.

Try craigs list for your local area. I just picked up 6 nice food grade barrels for $150. And I only had to drive 15 miles.  Shipping alone would have been more than I paid for them.
