That sucks. Everyone OK? Didn't you just have one rear-ended or was that someone else?

chop the top and go four wheeling

It looks like it will still go just fine.

You just need some more headroom.

If you chop it add a cage

You could even make it a convertible and get a custom top

And removable door mod, I did this one

First thing I thought of when I saw the rolled pic. That baby is still salvageable!! Turn her into a cool beach/lake/river cruiser until she is called for duty!!

I'm sure that that truck was purple the last time it was pictured here.

ETA: Sorry about my manners. Is Bruteforce_5 OK?

Without more of the story of how it happened I can side line quarterback and say you drive a truck like a truck and a car like a car.  If you get the two mixed up things like this happen.

That sucks big time, glad he is okay.
The convertible deal is an option, but it still sucks.

Since I'm guessing most of the work done is in the chassis/suspension/drivetrain, why not find a donor Suburban and swap out the body?

The wet/oil along the rear of the engine compartment, is that the tranny fluid? I'd part it out, or trailer queen 4x4 mod it.  I wouldn't run it at highway speeds ever again, or at least not without doing extensive checks of bent axles, tweeked frames, and other hard to see stuff.

Could salvage the good parts off it and get a new rig to mount 'em on.  Heck, I've got two I would offer to the cause, your choice, diesel or gas.

Sorry to hear your bud rolled his ride and he has spent so much time and money on it.

Is the drive train salvageable?

Glad he is ok...

Now, sawzall off the roof and weld a roll cage in it.

Looks like a roll cage might have been nice beforehand.

My cousin rolled a truck (mid 80's chevy 4X4) when he was in high school.  We chopped the top off, mounted a small piece of plexi-glass in the bottom left corner (had to have some where to stick the registration/inspection sticker to be road legal), and used it on the farm for a few years.

+1 Go full cage.

Add a pedastal mount for a belt fed once it's a convertable.

I'm glad no one was hurt.

but this is what happens when you try to mix money, ideas and less than common sense.

you friend learned a expensive lesson, gladly no one was hurt learning it.

life, it's played in real time with final results.
