I don't do much bugging out. I do, do a lot of boondocking in my trailer as well as cooking on the road without my trailer.
If no trailer and I'm in my car I use this... 
The orange box holds a few SS cooking mugs, an extra modified propane burner head for back up, lighters, cutlery and some other odds and ends. Been using it for 5 years at ski resorts, snowshoeing XC skiing etc. Still have not burned out 1 tank...crazy! If you want to travel lighter I suggest alcohol burners and Snowpeak TI cups for cooking. Good idea... if you modified it a bit more you could also have flamethrower for trailer protection.

I posted this link a few weeks ago, I made one and have cooked potatoes,pintos,rice, and pea soup so far, it works great, I'm going to rig a propane
