yip, very much so. We basically CAR/Truck camp. We meet up early on FRiday, have our meet and greet and then held out into the trails caravan style. Cruise around til early afternoon and then setup camps and just chill. Everyone is encouraged to come out. IF you have a pet all we ask is you secure the animal and dont let it mess in the camp area. With car/truck camping your only limited in gear by the room you have in your truck (as apposed to backpacking, etc). |

Sounds like fun... only issue is I have a brand new Tundra 4x2 Dbl cab and its pretty friggin big. I haven't done anything to it. I do want to lift (not body) it and add a more aggressive tire. I have a pop up... but you're prob. talkin' tents ain't ya?

well we had a full size quad cab dodge last time, it was pretty shiney and new. lol. I really wouldnt suggest totting a popup around, but you could give it a shot, I personally wouldnt. lol |

Okay, sounds like fun, We have a Expedition, 4x4 and a Tent, All we need is a "when".
We can go almost any weekend for the next two months. I agree, we need to get out before it gets too hot!

Put me down as a possible, after a confirmed date is decided on. I'm swapping the engine in my BOV (Jeep), but it should be ready by then. I'll be a good time to break it in.
Will there be a safe place to park a tow rig? |

I won't be able to the first weekend in April. Other than that, I'm down with most any other time. I love to get stuck and have the Jeep guys laugh at me.
I just sleep in the back (have a topper). Spend many nights during hunting season back there... |

Okay, thatll work then. So the date is set. Same criteria as last time, meet up at the kangroo around 9-10ish and head off into the woods. This is a non shooting event, but if you CCW that is cool just no show and tell. |

BTT(bump) yeah me and the wife miss our club days...was with Ocala offroad club for 4 years before we all went our ways. that was when the jeep clubs really started showing up and taking off....and the .gov was wanting to shut down the whole forets cuz of the rail buggies and qauds.again BTT hope it goes through this time.... |

Alright..I'm game...
I just need to get hold of some new meats before then...although as dry as it is I dont anticipate much mud slinging...not to mention tjhe FWD are pretty hard ass on trail devaitions from the trail to trails that are now closed (aka spensive and its a visit to fed court in orlando) |

Switched email accounts, and cant remember my old password. New engine, and some routine maintenance and the old ford is doing pretty well. I also cleaned up the back bumper so it is less of an anchor and added a winch up front. Should be good times. |

SO how we looking?
Id like to get a partial list of who all is coming. Im really hoping eveyone can come out and make this one. The weather is still cool enuff for now. But come summer time, my ass will be parked in the A/C LoL.. So we want to get a nice trip in b4 then. Basically we are meeting at the KANGAROO Gas station in ALtoona , County road 42 and highway 19. 42404 State road 19 ALtoona, FL 32702. We will be meeting early on FRIDAY 11th and hope to hit the trail by 10am. I can give my cell to those coming, but some cell service can be spotty. Trying to come in later may or may not work, we really dont know where we will end up. With trail rides you never know what youll run across, ec. If you have any questions about the area, contact Jonas, If you have any questions about gear or truck preps, you can ask me or Jonas or just post in this thread and we wil be happy to help. THis trip is open to anyone, just have a capable rig, even stockers can make this, bring stuff like food, clothes, and shelter and a good attitude.

BTW: If you guys have CB capabilities that would be great. I'll post up a recommended to-bring-list later but CBs are one of the thing out of the normal camping preps so I thought I would mention it now. |

Went out for a trail run in Citrus a couple of weekends ago...
All systems go for me... Will be hauling beers...Steaks...breakfast foods like bacon and sausage... Any of the Fl hometown campers know how I roll ;-) Oh got a decent CB too... Looking forward to this run.... Marcus |
