10 days of nothing but spanish. Can it be done? Just how much of the language can you pick up in 10 days?

Not worth it....trust me.  I'm a hispanic officer who has sat through alot of state required spanish classes (mandatory class for Texas peace officers) and have yet to see my fellow officers get anything worth while that they retained.

I need to learn spanish where I work.  What do you think is the best route?  

If I can get some of the basics down I have a lot of hispanic people around me that I can speak spanish to for practice.  

Any suggestions?
